What Is Your Photographer Turnaround Time?

When you hire a photographer, it is completely fair to want clarity around their turnaround time. These images hold real weight. They become holiday cards taped to fridges, albums pulled out on rainy Sundays, framed reminders that this season mattered. You deserve to know when they will land in your hands. As an impatient person myself, I can’t imagine being forced to wait months to see photos of cherished moments with my little one or being put off by my photographer who couldn’t honor their deadlines.

Something I am deeply proud of is my consistent turnaround time of two weeks for digital images. It is a promise I take seriously and one I have never gone over.

Digital Galleries = 14 Days

My Turnaround Time Is 14 Days For Digital Images.

I offer what I consider a luxury, boutique experience, and luxury should feel prompt, trustworthy, and definitive. That means you are never left wondering where your photos are, watching your photographer book endless sessions while your gallery sits unfinished, or anxiously waiting to order cards or artwork on a tight timeline. From the moment we work together, your session is already accounted for in my editing calendar. That’s why my photographer turnaround time is 14 days for digital images.

I keep this turnaround time short very intentionally. This is accomplished by limiting the number of families I photograph so each gallery gets the care it deserves. Your photos are edited with a gentle hand, prioritizing natural skin tones, soft light, and expressions that feel honest rather than overworked. I also carefully curate your gallery so you are not overwhelmed by hundreds of similar images. Instead, you receive a thoughtful collection where each photograph earns its place. The result is a gallery that feels full of warmth, movement, and connection, images that truly reflect the love and joy you share with your family.

You will receive your digital gallery within 14 days, ready to download, share, and begin turning into tangible artwork for your home.

Film = ~6 weeks

Film Will Be Added To Your Gallery Within Approximately 6 Weeks.

If you’ve purchased a roll of film to be added to your session, congrats! Film holds a special place in my heart. I love its slower pace, its softness, and the level of skill and intention it demands. Shooting film is a deliberate choice, one rooted in presence and trust, and I believe that energy shows in the final images.

Because film requires specialized care, I send all rolls to a fine art film lab to be professionally developed, scanned, and digitized. This process depends on a few factors that are outside my control, including mailing time and the lab’s own turnaround schedule. For that reason, film galleries typically take around six weeks, give or take.

Once your scans return to me, I make subtle adjustments so your film and digital images feel cohesive and harmonious when viewed together. Nothing heavy handed, just small refinements to ensure consistency across your final gallery.

No matter what, your digital images will always be delivered on time. Even if film takes a bit longer to make its way home, you will still receive your digital gallery within the promised two week window.

I believe in slowing down where it matters, being transparent, and honoring your time. Your memories are never treated as an afterthought here. They are handled with care, intention, and respect, every step of the way.
