Mothers Day Portrait Session in Seattle
I recently hosted the perfect motherhood portrait session in my studio here in Seattle…
I’ve been brainstorming a session like this for ages and am thrilled to share how it came together. It took over a month of planning to create this perfect storm of mutual creativity. Every vendor came together to create a truly magical experience.
The designer and custom seamstress, Ariel Sypherd (pictured) brought her daughter in matching custom dresses! Make sure to visit Belle Terre Ave to pick up one of these limited-release dresses. They’re perfect for spring and summer portraits. I fell in love with the timeless elegance of their wardrobe, which perfectly complemented the soft hues of the set. It created a sense of harmony and grace in every frame.
I brought my vision to life with the essential help of a local gardener and a local photographer.
The wonderful woman behind Wild Flower Academy (@wild_flower_academy on Instagram) created breathtaking spring floral arrangements. The delicate Spring blooms infused the set with color and variety that was unexpected and exciting.
But perhaps the pièce de résistance was the beautiful rented couch that adorned the center of the studio space. Its ornate design and vibrant colors elevated the setting into a whimsical scene straight out of a fairytale. Thank you to MyStache Photo for renting me such a gorgeous couch!
As I look back on this motherhood portrait session, I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to witness and capture such precious moments of love and connection. This session serves as a reminder of the magic that unfolds when families gather to celebrate the beauty of motherhood.

I’m obsessed with regency-era historical romance novels by writers like Julia Quinn, as well as (obviously) the Netflix series Bridgerton.
My greatest joy is my precious 3-year-old boy. His laughter fills our home with boundless energy, reminding me daily of the magic in life’s simplest moments. As a mother myself, I know how profound it feels to have beautiful portraits of your family (including yourself!!) up on the wall.
That’s why I pour my heart and soul into crafting timeless heirloom-worthy artwork for mothers like me. Every family deserves to have their love and connection preserved in tangible form, to be cherished for generations to come. Through my lens, I capture the genuine bonds that weave through each family, creating art that speaks volumes without saying a word.
