Heirloom portraits are for the nostalgic Seattle mom who carries traditions, who has been dreaming of their baby wearing her great-grandmother’s christening gown, whose heart melts when she sees the priceless portraits of her children that fill her walls.
My family has been passing down the same Christening gown for their heirloom portraits for as long as I can remember, our chubby toddler faces lining our grandmothers’ stairway with portrait after portrait of her beloved grandchildren. They’re positively stunning, and moms will fall in love with holding these beautiful portraits in their hands.
The experience is fairly structured and quiet, we don’t want to lose the focus on your children’s beautiful features if they laugh or feel too shy or too frustrated. I focus on creating a calm, peaceful environment where your child can settle into themselves. These portraits are less about big smiles and more about the way their nose turns up or the dimple in their chin and the mischievous sparkle in their eye.
Styling plays a significant role in achieving this timeless look. I highly encourage dressing your child in white, baby blue, or baby pink. Need outfit inspiration? These textures and tones photograph beautifully and echo the classic, heirloom aesthetic. While I do have a small selection available for children, dressing your little ones in your own thoughtfully chosen outfit will always create the most personal and cohesive result.
Curious where to shop for your little one’s outfit? Consider:
After your session, you’ll be invited to select your favorite portraits to be transformed into framed artwork. Each piece is offered in your choice of a circular or oval frame, finished in gold or silver leaf. These frames are intentionally chosen for their old-world elegance, reminiscent of portraits passed down through generations.

Wooden Circular Frames and Individual Digitals will also be available to purchase – purchase minimum is $300. Any image you choose to purchase as a print will also be available to you as a digital file.
Each framed piece is crafted to become a statement in your home, something you’ll pass by every day and feel grounded in. Turnaround time for your finished artwork is approximately three weeks.
And because I believe your memories should be both tangible and accessible, any image you choose to purchase as a print will also be available to you as a digital file. So you can hold it in your hands and keep it safely tucked away, all at once.
These heirloom portraits are more than just photographs. They are markers of belonging. Of lineage. Of love that stretches both backward and forward in time. One day, your child will look at this portrait and see not just themselves, but the care you took to preserve their story.
If you’ve been longing for something slower, more intentional, and deeply rooted in meaning, this is your invitation.
