This beautiful, light, and airy lifestyle studio in Pioneer Square was really the finishing touch for this gorgeous maternity session. After sending some Facebook messages and emails back and forth about wardrobe and styling, Kat selected two gowns and two outfits for her husband and toddler. I think she made an excellent choice, the dash of color was so much fun and really created more dynamic options in the gallery. It was fantastic that Kat brought her mother to help wrangle their toddler while we did some couples shots, it kept everyone safe and busy so we were able to get the most out of our hour at the studio.
That day was so cold and windy outside, it was a huge relief knowing we didn’t have to worry about weather conditions in rainy Seattle. While many don’t mind the wind or mixed light of outdoor sessions, I really find families are happier inside away from the elements and from the public. Privacy really allowed us to slow down and not overstimulate or distract a busy toddler. We got so many gorgeous images I was so happy to be able to overdeliver for this beautiful growing family.
